New Pastor Training School in Sudan

A similar Pastor Training School in Kenya

Sequoia Ministries is partnering with others to begin a new Pastor Training School in Southern Sudan. This area has been devastated by decades of civil war and they are now in desperate need of help. As of January 2005 Sudan is at peace and the Southern Sudanese are asking for Christian teachers and trainers to come and teach them more about Christianity. However, false religions also have their agendas and are now moving into this area. Sequoia Ministries has met many local Sudanese pastors but over 90% of them have no Bible training and most do not even have a Bible. We hope to be a part of equipping Sudanese Christian leaders who can reach many with the Gospel of Christ and teach them the Word of God so they may stand firm against their enemies. It is also our vision to train youth and children’s ministry leaders in these schools as millions of children lack any exposure to the Bible and its truths. This Pastor Training School will be taught in Dinka, which is the largest people group in Southern Sudan. This is a part of our Leadership Training branch of ministry.  < click here to make a donation of any size. For Comments or Questions  <  click here.

Light of Africa Ministries

Light of Africa (LoA) is a partnering project of Sequoia Ministries International. It was founded in Africa, with the primary purpose of bringing God’s light into dark places. Ten of millions of Africans still live in spiritual darkness throughout the continent, yet today Africa is the most open continent to Christianity. It is Light of Africa’s passion and purpose to develop indigenous church ministries that will equip African Christians to reach their own people through evangelism and discipleship ministries. Through local trainings and working shoulder to shoulder with national church leaders, LoA staff are able to begin church outreach and training ministries whereby Christians of all ages are becoming actively involved in witnessing and discipleship! Light of Africa does not own any facilities. They conduct their ministries in local churches therefore incurring little or no overhead costs. Currently Light of Africa is training adult church leaders and deaf church leaders. Youth Ministry and Children’s Ministry are in the developmental stages. Light of Africa falls under our "Evangelism" branch of ministry.   < click here to make a donation of any size.

Two School Development Projects  -   Mt. Olive Academy and Daylight School

Education is crucial in the life of any family, however in Africa many family members never have the opportunity to even learn to read and write. The need for basic education is enormous, even in the cities of Africa. Sequoia has adopted two underdeveloped primary schools and is helping them become more established and grow their educational programs. Both of these schools have devoted staff and solid Christian foundations. Mt. Olive Academy is in Addis Ababa Ethiopia and Daylight School is located in Kimilili, Kenya. Both of these schools teach hundreds of boys and girls daily, although they have very limited resources, and struggle month to month to survive with no government funding available. Currently both schools have waiting lists of children they cannot accommodate without more classrooms. These projects fall under "School Development Projects, Mt. Olive Academy or Daylight School" < click here to make a donation of any size.  For Comments or Questions  <  click here.
